Allen Hill
Allen runs the office in Rock Hill. He lives with his wife and two sons on their farm in York, SC. In his free time, he loves spending time with his family and dogs working on the farm where they raise chickens, pigs, and goats. He even finds time to help coach some of his sons’ sports teams.
Brandon Hill
Brandon is currently working to expand the firm’s services to others around the state by opening a second office in the Greenville-Spartanburg area. Brandon was drawn back to the region after studying business administration at USC Upstate where he fell in love with its proximity to the mountains and made long-lasting memories and friendships. In his free time, Brandon enjoys traveling, Gamecock football, spending time with family and friends, and taking in the outdoors with his 80-pound yellow lab.

Our Namesake
Our founder and namesake, Marshall Hill, unfortunately passed away March 2, 2021. As a family-owned and family-run firm, we were crushed, and we know we wouldn’t be where we are without him, both as people and as a practice. We will always cherish the memories, lessons and jokes we shared with Marshall over the years, and we will honor him by operating with the same name, principles and integrity he carried so proudly throughout his life.
About Marshall Hill
Marshall grew up in Asheville, North Carolina, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in accountancy at nearby Mars Hill College. But his love for numbers and helping people started even before then, as his mother and sister can tell you. Even growing up, Marshall had a knack for keeping an account of things and often even carried small ledger pad around.
Following college, Marshall took a job and relocated to the Charlotte area where he would eventually meet his wife, Brenda, who was just graduating from Winthrop University in Rock Hill. In the following years, they welcomed their three children, Betsy, Allen, and Brandon, while Marshall worked in accounting for companies like US Foods and Bowater.
Eventually, Marshall saw the opportunity to start his own business by helping individuals and companies in the Rock Hill community with tax preparation services. As his children grew up, along with the families of Brenda’s and his friends, he understood that there were other parts of life he could help people prepare for. After obtaining his securities and insurance licenses, the firm grew quickly to offer services relating to investments, retirement, and insurance needs for their clientele.
Over roughly 30 years, Marshall A. Hill & Associates Inc. has had the pleasure to grow with our clients, including welcoming some of their children and even grandchildren to the firm as new clients. And that’s not the only generational element of our company. Marshall’s two sons, Allen and Brandon, have joined the firm in recent years.
Marshall’s legacy and impact won’t be soon forgotten as we continue to help local families find answers to any problems they may encounter in their financial lives. From our family to yours, we welcome all clients, and we look forward to the opportunity to serve with the same consistency and love that Marshall always did.
